My baby carrier and the other 2 things I never leave home without - and $50 GIVEAWAY!!!

My husband is a firefighter/paramedic and goes on shift for 48 hours at a time every week so people ask me all the time how I take my three little girls to do fun stuff so often without his help.
First of all, it takes practice.  Every time I have added a child to our family it's taken a bit of adjusting and when I first go out it's hard.  After a few times it's not as hard or scary and I adjust and get better at it.  The more I do it the easier it gets, both for me and my kids.

There are a few things I never leave home without to make it easier to juggle three tinies.

First, I LOVE my baby carrier from diapers.com.  It frees up my hands to take care of my other two and makes three not seem as overwhelming.
Second, I always have BAND-AIDS.  I'm not the only one with young kids who goes through a lot of BAND-AIDS, am I?  I have a special pocket for them in my purse because it seems like my active kids are always scraping their knees or have some other trivial "emergency" that can easily be fixed with a kiss and a Frozen BAND-AID.

Third, I LOVE these.
You just stick these disposable placements to the table when you eat out and I don't leave home without them.  They make stopping for food super easy because I don't cringe every time my 3-year-old pours her fries at Chick fil A out on the table and the cleanup is a cinch!

  70. Also, I totally agree with the adjustment period of getting out when you add more kids. It's easy with your spouse but on your own can be intimidating! I'm totally the type that goes crazy staying inside and love to go out and about but when my second was born the first time we went out by myself my daughter tripped and split open her lip and ended up needing stitches. It was horrifying. I felt so guilty. Thankfully after that it was smooth sailing but sheesh, talk about worst case scenario!

  86. Is so funny because my purse I'd always loaded with certain items. I have a little container filled with medications, a note book, pens, feminine produts, essential oils, & then there is what ever my husband and son have deemed necessary to have stuffed in there as well. My son is 15 now. When he was younger my purse was quite large because depending on whatever activity he had going on like swimming lessons I would have sun tan lotion, goggles, & towels in my purse. My purse has shrunk with his age and my back surgeries but the need for me to carry things like his kindle has not. Mom's job is never done!
