Jeweled headband (Nordstrom knock-off)

I saw the headband below at Nordstrom for $38 and thought to myself "I could make that myself."  So I did...and YOU can too!  It seriously only took me 10 minutes.

 Supplies:
Black felt
Glue-on jewels
Hot glue gun/glue
Headband

I bought a big variety pack of clear jewels at Hobby Lobby, as well as a smaller variety pack of colored oval jewels.  I cut out a piece of black felt and arranged the jewels the way I wanted, leaving a space after the top jewel for the bow. (pictured below)
I then used hot glue to secure the jewels to the felt, and once it had dried I cut around the outside of the jewels.

I glued it onto the headband, aligning the top of the piece to the center of the headband.

I then glued felt cut to the approximate shape on the back to secure the jewels in place.

I added a bow and I had myself a Nordstrom knock-off headband for less than $5!

  9. I just started a linky party this past Tuesday. It was a great success with over 50 link ups! I would love it if you would participate! It's called $10 Tuesdays and it's for things that cost less than $10 and take 20-30 mins (ish) to complete. I love inexpensive and quick projects and I'm guessing others will too ;) Thanks so much for considering.
