I wanted to do favors for Lily's baby-friends birthday party but didn't want to do the traditional "loot bag" filled with candy due to the age of her guests.
I decided to include a few small toys that would be appropriate for a one year old's birthday party.
Since the theme was cats & dogs because Lily loves cats & dogs, I included a cat or dog sucker, a cat rubber ducky, a 7-inch inflatable beach ball, and bubbles that said "Thank you for coming to Lily's first birthday party" (tutorial here)
The toys ended up only being $1.25 per person! I then went to Xpedx and got to-go boxes for $.25 each. I already had the ribbon from making my organza flower headbands so each favor only costed me $1.50!
For the name tags, I used this punch in seal of approval (2 inches wide) for the scalloped edge, and then used this punch in Round n' Round (1.5 inches wide) for the names I had printed out. The boys got yellow favors, and the girls got pink.
so karina wants an american idol microphone cake for her birthday. I would love your ideas on how I should make it. ~C
